Lord we thank you for you are faithful.Thank you MA,thank you Ejay,This is my heart.Do you know that the scriptures says that we perish because of ignorance.Which means that our ignorance of what the true gospel is affects our christian life.The Gospel is specific,it is something recognisible.it is not this and or that,it is a specific gospel,Jesus said that the end will only come when THIS GOSPEL would have been preached as a testimony to the whole earth.As a testimony means by those who have experienced it being commisioned by God to preach it.Its important that we know it,thats my heart,thats my cry,so many false teachings and instruction in the body of christ today is because we do not know what the gospel and the church is.So many christian lifestyles admonished today by many acknowledged leaders is because they misunderstand what the gospel is,brethren,my heart is that we will stand alone on that day before the judge,lets seek to know and experience it and show it to others in reality,when we experience it,we wont lie to people again,please my brethren,im happy that there are people here whose heart are awake to the reality of this,we should not settle for a guess but a revelation of the true gospel...God bless you all my brethren

I Love that this subject has been brought to light because a week ago I was having a talk with God and i was reading Galatians 1. In most epistles Paul deals with wrong theology and a teaching of a different gospel. In Galatians he rebukes anyone who taught a different gospel than that which Paul had professed. The question is however, what is that Gospel. I encourage everyone to dig in their Bibles and see what God says about that. I do agree that the gospel, which means 'good news', is news about salvation. A salvation that comes from repentance and a confession that Jesus is Lord! One thing that i found really interestin is found in Isaiah 61:1-2 (where isaiah prophecies of the messiah,) and Jesus actually identifies himself as the fulfiller of those words, in Luke 4:16-21. Also if you notice, Jesus doesnt finish the verse in Isaiah instead stops at "to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour!" I believe that this was Jesus' mission on his first coming on this earth. Jesus came for freedom, to break oppression from our enemies(satan and sin). As Paul said,when we were sinners we were slaves of sin, but now we are slaves of righteousness. Sin had damaged our relationship with God, people, and the earth but Jesus came back to restore all of that! This Life is eternal! it starts here, life doesn't begin when you die. The gospel is a message of hope and of life; that God chose not to leave us depraved but instead gave himself as appeasing sacrifice for our forgiveness so that we could taste freedom! the freedom he created us with.I think we must never forget how important the gospel is in our lives but also in the lives of those who don't know!

Brother messengermicah, I want you to understand that no body is discrediting your post. This is a wonderful topic and I'm hoping youth leaders on this blog also discuss this topic at their meetings. I also want to apologize if I sounded like discrediting your article. This is an open discussion and it is likely we all don't share the same view on somethings. The most important thing is we both that a better understanding. I believe you have poured your heart out to express your thought and I honestly cherish that. Please don't get me wrong, we point was that gospel is far more greater than what both you and I and everyone here think it is. The interesting thing is that, what everyone said is part of the gospel. Romans 1: 17 Paul said, it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. That is why we as Christians need to live the gospel and not only preaching it. It is only those who believe and repent obtain the salvation of Jesus Christ. Also I meant open confession and acceptance of Jesus Christ is important but it doesn't save.

Men,we should not be ignorant of the devil's devices-misunderstanding.Misunderstanding is one of his devices,your brother says one thing,you hear and understand another thing.Brother Emmanuel,i didn't accuse anybody,i presented my observation in our present day Christianity according to the light of the scriptures,is there no longer anybody who wants to read the bible.I thought this is meant to be a forum or is it made only for the members of your church?Why is it human beings do not like change or people that are different from us.We have wasted enough time time beating over things that does not edify,you said i should bring out my point,what other point should i bring out,i have written my heart to inspire each one of us to go and search,but you Emma and Ejay,you two have refused to search but to try somehow to discredit what i wrote even though you said u agree,i am not looking for agreement but a discussion on this topic with the bible.My brethren,i do not live with you,i do not follow you around,you live alone,but if we do not face this question today and seek to get the answer,a season will come when we will remember this opportunity to search but it might be too late.I believe that the Lord is calling us to a season of reality check,we are still in the beginning of the year,i suppose you guys are leaders of a youth group,why not present this discussion at your group,guys,this is serious.Please i must apologize of every way i have offended you guys in my writing,joining this forum means that if i use words wrongly or misinterpret the word of God that you that know better correct me,teachers will receive greater judgment the scriptures declares which scares me the more when am dealing with the word of God.Brethren,if i am not welcome here,please you let me know so i can leave in peace.Thank you

But if I can give you an advise, instead of accusing other Christians on how they are behaviouring, try to bring out your point and the Holy Spirit will lead us to understand the truth

Thank you for your comment my brothers.I do not say things because they sound good to say,i say things because the word of God says so.I was awaken to the reality of the gospel which is scarcely preached.And the reason i posted this is because i understood this is for young people who desires to know Jesus like me,now in my service of God ,i do not want carry a theology which i think is of God and on that day my Lord will discredit me.You said you do not agree with my statement "Asking Jesus to come into our heart cannot save us but Hearing the true gospel and repenting",well Jesus or the Apostles never told us that salvation is by asking Jesus into our hearts,that is a theology or method invented by man,if thats the way of salvation,why didnt Jesus or His Apostles say it.Jesus is not a machine that we tell what to do,when we repent and turns to him,He comes in.Repentance means to turn around,if you hear the true gospel and are convincted ,you turn away from the old life to Jsus Christ and he receives you,thats why the bible says that HE COMMANDS EVERYONE TO REPENT,check your bible.Do you know how many that will be disappointed to discover on the last day that they are not saved who thinks they are saved because tey said a prayer?My brother thats what scares me,thats what fears me the most that i brought this discussion that we discuss with the word not our head to know what the gospel is.Matt11:5 shows us that the gospel is specifically for the poor and you are saying that it is giving food,water and clothe,read Romans 1:16,i dont know whether you see what i see there,the gospel is the power of God unto salvation,did you read that,please my brethren,this is not about me,dont get offended with me,Emmanuel is saying thank you instead of giving his comment,as though we are fighting,i do not think that the Lord brought this up just for us to fight over words but to awaken us to think,pray and search.Brethren,cant you see,the gospel is God's power,cant you see ,it is beyond what we have been taught,what is the problem with the church and christianity today,powerless,is it because we do not know and experience this gospel?My fellow youths,this is the cry of my heart,can you guys stop fighting over my words and awaken to the reality of what we are facing.when you go to someone to give them a good news in real life situation,that means the person already acknowledges his bad situation which needs a good news.So the is no good news without a prevailing bad news or situation.You cant tell someone a supposed good news if the person do not know of a bad news,this gospel is a two edged sword,my brethren what is it.Lt us not be lazy in this search,what is the gospel.

I read your initial post asking what the gospel is and the comment and contributions other members posted. In fact, I was amazed by all the the wonderful contributions. As the welcome message on the blog stated, We are not here to prove who is wrong or right but to encourage and enlighten ourselves through the word of God.
You did made a statement a disagree with. You stated "Asking Jesus to come into our heart cannot save us but Hearing the true gospel and repenting". I want to ask you how would you repent if you don't Receive or Accept the gospel?
Asking Jesus to come into your heart (most important, PUBLICLY) by your own confession is a sign of surrendering your will to the will of God and declaring to the kingdom of the devil that you don't belong to them. Jesus fed thousands of people as he presented the good news of the kingdom of Heaven and the saving power of God the father. This made many receive him and accepted even have he had to ofeer them to hear. The gospel is the good news about the ministry, the death, the burial, the resurrection and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. But there is certainly more than that. It extends to preparing the people's hearts for the word of God. By this I mean, if the people are hungry for food feed them,if they are thirsty for water, give them water to drink, if they are naked, clothe them if they are sad, comfort them. This is all part of the Gospel.
